"Lion" loose in Wisconsin?
A woman claims she saw a lion in her Milwaukee neighborhood.

MILWAUKEE, WI -- It's a call Milwaukee police don't usually hear -- someone reported a lion on the loose in their neighborhood. Now, the search is on for the mystery creature spotted on camera.

WISN-TV reports the animal was captured on cellphone video roaming through a neighborhood Monday afternoon.

Bill Nolen and his wife Annie couldn't believe what they saw outside their home.

"I was afraid to move. I was sitting there and I couldn't move. I was thinking, what am I looking at," Bill Nolen said.

Milwaukee police think it's possible that a large cat could have been tracking deer in the area.

"We are treating it seriously," said Police Chief Ed Flynn.

Officers say their search for the creature is ongoing.

If confirmed, this would not be the first lion sighting in Milwaukee in recent memory. Some occurred just two years ago.

Residents are being told to stay on alert and stay away from the animal, if spotted.
