MORGAN HILL, Calif. (KGO) -- Morgan Hill police are searching for a man who tried to rob a woman outside a Target store. He then hit up a Subway restaurant brandishing a gun.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video and is described as a white man in his 20's with slim build, with a Mohawk. He has a tattoo on his outer left wrist and was last seen wearing a black "Punisher" t-shirt, green shorts and black and white shoes.

Police say a woman was walking through the Target store parking lot on Cochrane Road when the man drove up next to her in a white, four door sedan with a black bra on the front grill, possibly a Chevy Cavalier or Dodge Neon, brandished a shotgun and demanded her purse. She refused and he took off.

About five minutes later, police say he walked into a nearby Subway restaurant, also on Cochrane Road, threatened employees with a shotgun and demanded money. He got away with some cash.
