Newark firefighters extinguish brush fire

NEWARK, Calif. -- Firefighters extinguished a nearly 4-acre vegetation fire in Newark tonight, an Alameda County Fire Department dispatcher said.

Crews responded to a report of the fire in the 38800 block of Eureka Drive around 7:45 p.m., the dispatcher said.
