Optical store burglary caught on surveillance video
Glendale police are asking for the public's help in identifying seven suspects who were caught on surveillance video breaking into an optical store.

GLENDALE, Calif. -- Glendale police are searching for seven suspects who broke into an optical store and made off with about $200,000 in merchandise early Sunday.

The burglary, which occurred at Blue Eyes Optometry in the 100 block of West Wilson Avenue around 3:45 a.m., was caught on surveillance video.

The thieves, dressed in black clothes, beanies and gloves, were seen smashing the display cases, stealing everything in sight and leaving the store a complete mess.

Owner Gor Vartanyan says the thieves came through the front and pried the door open with a crowbar.

"They just popped the door open in two seconds. Seven people were inside the store. In two minutes, everything was gone," Vartanyan said.

He is offering a reward to whoever helps catch the thieves. This is the third time Vartanyan's business has been hit. His store was also robbed in 2008 and 2012.

Anyone with information on this burglary was asked to call Glendale police at (818) 548-4911.
