SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- San Bruno police released a surveillance video on Thursday of a suspect who attempted to rob a jewelry store last week by threatening to set off a bomb.

On June 12, the suspect walked into the store in the 600 block of San Mateo Avenue around 3:30 p.m. and told employees that he was in possession of an explosive device, according to Lt. Tim Mahon.

The suspect demanded jewelry from the store, but fled on foot without taking anything after store employees told him police were on their way, Mahon said.

He was last seen running north on Masson Avenue.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned male in his 20s, around 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin, dark-colored mustache.
