SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at an apartment building on the 640 block of Corbett Avenue in the Twin Peaks area Friday morning.

Firefighters say flames and heavy damage were contained to one unit on the fifth floor. Multiple units sustained smoke and water damage. Firefighters faced challenges battling the blaze because of the way the units are situated and they had to run 400 feet hose to battle the fire.

Two families have been displaced by the fire and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
