Six people dead after chase and wreck in Texas

LEAGUE CITY, TX -- League City and Dickinson police officers left the scene of a horrific crash around 3:30am this morning.

League City police confirm six people were killed at the intersection of FM 646 and Ohio Street. Witnesses reported seeing four hearses arrive to to the crash around 1am to remove the bodies.

Officers said a police pursuit ended with the crash. Those who live nearby told Eyewitness News a Dickinson police officer was following a Dodge Durango. They claim the Durango was speeding on Ohio when it slammed into an Isuzu Rodeo at FM 646. The impact so intense, the Rodeo was pushed into a ditch and knocked down power lines.

Power was restored by 4am. No identities of those killed have been released.
