FREMONT, Calif. (KGO) -- Determined police work has led to the arrest of a man who officers say terrorized a family in Fremont.

Police say Jamala Morris had seen a family in passing and then went to their house on Paseo Padre Parkway. According to police, Morris broke into the home early Sunday, tied up one woman, then raped her mother.

Morris ran out when a man came home, taking several valuables with him. Police say Morris has confessed and may have committed similar crimes.
