SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KGO) -- An ABC7 viewer who opens her Santa Rosa home to foster dogs is sharing the inspiring story of one abandoned puppy whose life went from forlorn to fantastic.

Animal control found Charlie abandoned in a park a few years ago. He suffered from improperly formed legs.

A foster family took him in and consulted a vet to correct his legs with casts.

By the time another family came to adopt him and rename him Crosby, the dog's legs were as strong and healthy as his other four-legged friends at his foster home.

When animals control officers found Charlie abandoned in a park, his legs were deformed.
