OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Here's more proof that cats have nine lives.

The CHP's Oakland office posted a photo on their Facebook page of a kitten that was rescued on Monday morning.

Officials say workers with the Freeway Service Patrol rescued the little kitty after it jumped into the wheel well of a car that was stopped in traffic on Interstate 580 at High Street in Oakland.

And here's another sign it was the kitten's lucky day -- another driver adopted it right on the spot!
