Belgian activists took part in an unusual protest and bombarded their prime minister with the country's national dish.

Charles Michel received an unwanted side of fries and mayonnaise, a Belgian specialty.

Security guards quickly tackled the protesters, who are against Michel's effort to raise Belgium's retirement age to 67.

As protesters were taken away, the prime minister looked on and smiled in a mayonnaise-stained suit.

After the incident, he restarted his speech and apologized for smelling of mayonnaise.
