SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- In the presidential campaign, Republican candidate Donald Trump is beating all contenders in the polls. But in San Francisco's heavily Latino Mission District, people are taking a whack at his image.

The store owner at Discount City in San Francisco says he does not like Trump, but he admits poking fun at him has been good for business.

With a black suit, signature red tie and combed over hair, it's easy to figure out this pinata is Trump.

"It's a funny backlash to controversy he's brewing," said Lambert Cherry, who also is not a Trump supporter. "(Trump) is total laughing stock for country politics here, ridiculous he's even given platform to say what he's saying."

"I think it's great!" said Punky Cadriel of the Trump pinata.

Trump has been making a big splash in the political scene, garnering supporters and a lot of local haters.

"I didn't think the immigration issue would take life that it has," said Trump during a speech on the campaign trail.

Carolina Nolasco, of San Francisco, says Trumps' statements have been deeply offensive to hard working immigrants like herself.

Discount City says they're selling better than expected - up to 30 a day. Orders have been made to stock up.

The pinatas are available in two sizes and being sold starting at $20 for the small size.
