ABC7 co-sponsors fundraiser for Camp Arroyo in Livermore

LIVERMORE, Calif. (KGO) -- It was much more than just a day in the park in Livermore on Sunday. Supporters of the Taylor Family Foundation and its programs to help sick children gathered for a big fundraiser and ABC7 is a major co-sponsor of the event.

ABC7 News Meteorologist Mike Nicco was Master of Ceremonies and other members of our broadcast family were among the 900 people in attendance. The event helps raise money for Camp Arroyo, which provides fun and learning experiences for kids facing life-threatening disease and other challenges.

"When you bring 3,000 kids through this camp every year, items are going to get worn out, they're going to get used, they're going to get played with, they're going to get loved and used. And they need to be replaced," Nicco said.

Over the years, the Taylor Family Foundation has raised millions of dollars to help children with disabilities and serious illnesses.
