Are you average or beautiful? If you were forced to make a choice, which would you pick?

Dove is challenging women to embrace the concept of beauty as a personal choice and see the beauty in themselves with its newest campaign -- #ChooseBeautiful.

Real women in San Francisco, Shanghai, Delhi, London, and Sao Paulo were confronted with two doors - one marked "average" and one marked "beautiful." After choosing one to walk through, they were asked why they picked the door they did.

A striking number of women chose the "average" door.

"Beautiful to me; it's way too far out of reach," one explained.

But some did choose to be beautiful.

"It was quite triumphant feeling," one woman said. "It was like telling the world 'I think I'm beautiful.'"

One woman could be seen practically dragging her teenage daughter from the "average' door over the 'beautiful" entrance.

"I just wish more young women would realize [they were beautiful]," the mother explained.

"Dove Choose Beautiful urges women to embrace this personal choice, because when we do, it unlocks happiness and confidence that impacts women's self-esteem," said Jennifer Bremner, Director of Marketing, Dove, said in a press release.

The message seems to be resonating, with women sharing their own #ChooseBeautiful images on social media.
