When it came time for Jared Basham to exchange vows with his bride, he had an unconventional way of telling her she's the one that he wants.

Standing at the altar, Basham explained that he wasn't exactly a heart-on-his-sleeve kind of guy. This inspired his non-traditional vows, he said.

"I know that I struggle sometimes to show my emotions," he said. "Because of that, I vow to express how I feel for you in just the most creative and ludicrous ways, at the most inopportune times, kind of like right now."

And that's when the music started. Donning sunglasses, Basham expressed his love for his wife, Kyndra, through the timeless lyrics of "You're the One That I Want" from Grease. The medley continued with All-4-One's soulful 1994 hit "I Swear," before finishing with a passionate interpretation of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You."

Basham told his friend from high school, Shea Burns, about his plan beforehand, and he promised to record it, he told ABC. He said the special vows were a hit.

"The guests seemed to love it, I saw all smiles," he said. "It was very fitting for Jared."
