SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KGO) -- Speculation is rampant about the future of San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh. First, the owner tweeted an apology for the team's performance and now there are reports Harbaugh could be traded across the bay. ABC7 News was at a press conference on Monday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara with Harbaugh's response.

After such a dismal performance by the 49ers on Thanksgiving Day, Harbaugh faced a line of questions that went beyond the scope of strategy. Reporting by ESPN this weekend, that the Oakland Raiders and the New York Jets would consider Harbaugh's trade at the end of this season, raised questions about his leadership.

A reporter asked: "Jim, do you think your future is in question here, beyond the season?"

Harbaugh: "I really, I don't worry about my future."

Many of these questions were prompted by a tweet by 49ers president Jed York apologizing for the team's turkey day performance.

Reporter: "Have you talked with Jed? Has he passed along his feeling about what happened?"

Harbaugh: "To me, that's not significant."

Another reporter asked: "Has management or ownership asked you to do anything with your coaching staff, making any changes?"

Harbaugh: "No."

Harbaugh says they're trying to move forward and they're practicing for a win against their cross bay rivals, the Oakland Raiders, this weekend. For fans there's disappointment about Thursday night's loss, but there's still support for Harbaugh.

"I don't think we need to get rid of Harbaugh, because if it wasn't for Harbaugh we wouldn't be in this position. I think we need a new offensive coordinator," 49ers fan Stephen Ashford said.

"I'm a fan of Harbaugh and these Tweets and these things I read in the media about Harbaugh being traded or leaving the team, it breaks my heart because I think with three winning seasons that he deserves to be where he's at as our head coach," 49ers fan Joaquin Reyna said.

Harbaugh spent much of the press conference deflecting even the slightest suggestion of a future with the Raiders.
