OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- The Golden State Warriors may have won the championship Monday night, but the celebration is just getting started - the big parade and rally is set for Thursday.

"I'm definitely excited. I'm definitely going to be here in my Warriors gear Thursday!" said one Warriors fan in Oakland.

After winning the NBA Finals in Game 5, the city is now gearing up for the Warriors parade. And so are businesses along the parade route.

Cybelle's Pizza will have extra pies on hand at their Broadway location.

"We are going to have extra staff because we're expecting a lot of pizza, a lot of sales," said Marique Florence of Cybelle's.

Oaklandish on Broadway is opening at 8 a.m.,- three hours early - hoping to sell their

Warriors clothing to the million or so people expected in Oakland for the festivities.

"We did this in 2015, and were anticipating just the same amount of traffic. The streets are going to be packed with people so we want to make sure we can get them some Tees if that's what they're looking for," said Oaklandish's Milton Williams.

"We're even more prepared than we were two years ago because we have that experience now," said Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf.

Schaaf, who was sporting the 2015 championship ring, reminds people to move their cars parked along the parade route. Otherwise, they will be towed.

"We encourage people to pick one or the other. It really logistically is not possible to both be on the parade route and rally," she said.

"We're going to keep you safe. Prepared for the worst and expecting all the best," said Oakland Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick.

Just like Monday night, Chief Kirkpatrick says, they are all hands on deck with extra patrols and support from neighboring agencies for Thursday.
