Fans searching for hats worn by Dubs during historic Game 7 win
Golden State Warriors fans are searching for sold-out hats worn by the team during their historic win against Thunder in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Golden State Warriors fans are searching for sold-out hats worn by the team during their historic win against Thunder in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals.

Even before the final seconds ticked away Tuesday night, Warriors fans were lining up and online to buy Warriors gear with the coveted NBA Finals logo on it.

One item that's especially in high demand is the hats worn by the team during their big win. The shirts are easier to buy, but the hats at this point are impossible to find.

The line outside the Warriors team store formed long before it opened. Many fans hoped to buy those hats, but it wasn't meant to be. "Stood in line since 9 a.m. to get the hats and they waited until 11:15 a.m. to tell us that they don't have them," Warriors fan Ramon Moreno said.

"Everyone's looking for the NBA locker room hat and that's why I've been out here for two hours, waiting for that hat, and they don't even have it," Warriors fan Christie James said.

Most stores don't have the hats, but that didn't stop fans who stayed and geared up with what they could find, that is anything that had the word finals on it.

There's more finals gear on the way in process at BlueFrog in San Leandro. "Our team is very excited to be here and do these shirts, we love being part of this winning team," BlueFrog employee Mike Givvin said.

The people and the presses at BlueFrog will work around the clock for the next several days, creating the 22,000 shirts per night fans will wear inside Oracle for Game 1 and Game 2 of the NBA Finals. The Strength In Numbers shirts that have worked well, so far. "These are official license shirts for the finals that the sporting good stores picked up all through the night last night," Givvin said.

ABC7 is your home for the NBA Finals. Coverage begins Thursday with ABC7 News at 4 p.m. At 5:30 p.m. it's "NBA Countdown." Then Game 1 between the Cavs and Dubs at Roaracle starts at 6 p.m., only on ABC7.
