Hamstring injury makes Marshawn Lynch '50-50' to play vs. Lions

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is dealing with a hamstring injury that, according to a source, makes him "50-50" to play Monday night against the Detroit Lions.

The Seahawks might not have clarity on whether Lynch will be able to play until this weekend. Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Lynch would undergo an MRI this week.

Since being traded to the Seahawks in October 2010, Lynch has missed just one game: at Cleveland in 2011, when he sat out because of a back injury.

He has played in 60 consecutive regular-season games and eight playoff games since then.

His five carries Sunday against the Chicago Bears were his fewest in any regular-season game for the Seahawks.Lynch sustained the injury while making a 4th-and-1 reception with 26 seconds left in the first half.

Against Chicago, rookie Thomas Rawls played 51 percent of the snaps and carried 16 times for 104 yards. Fred Jackson played 31 percent of the snaps. He had two carries for 13 yards, along with a pair of receptions.
