Raiderettes will now earn minimum wage

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- The Oakland Raiders have announced that the team will pay cheerleaders minimum wage this coming season.

Raiderettes will be paid $9 an hour for their time spent at games, practices and public appearances.

The team had paid cheerleaders $1,250 a season.

One Raiderette who is suing the team says she made about $5 an hour after factoring in required appearances and practices.
