Stephen Curry to play for Warriors in Game 4 against Rockets

Golden State Warriors star guardStephen Curry is active for Game 4 against the Houston Rockets on Sunday after missing the last two games with an ankle injury.

Curry injured his surgically repaired right ankle in the second quarter of Game 1, a 104-78 Warriors win. Golden State is 1-1 since he went down.

When asked if Curry would play, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said before Sunday's game, "[I'd] assume so."Kerr, along with team trainers and doctors, rendered Curry inactive for Game 3 even though Curry wanted to play.

Kerr had characterized the Game 3 choice as "an easy decision."

"He moved well. He wanted to play," Kerr said. "But ultimately, we didn't feel comfortable after four straight days of inactivity, throwing him into the middle of a playoff game, not knowing how the ankle would respond."

Since those comments on Thursday, Curry's rehabilitation has progressed. In Saturday's practice, Curry completed 5-on-5 drills without incident.

"We went full-court, five-on-five, and he didn't have any pain this morning or after the workout," Kerr said.

On Saturday, Curry said he could live with the injury.

"I can deal with a little discomfort that comes along with it as long as it feels stable," he said.
