Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr has traveled with the team to San Antonio and will watch Game 3 of the Western Conference finals against the Spurs from the locker room Saturday night, a team official told ESPN.

It's a clear sign that he's doing much better.

This is the first time Kerr has hit the road with the team since taking a leave of absence in the middle of the opening round to find a remedy for the nausea and migraines he's been experiencing, conditions that likely stem from back surgery from almost two years ago. Over the past week, he has been attending home games and practices and has progressively become more active in sessions.

Kerr will be in the locker room with the team at halftime, ESPN was told. Whether he addresses the team will be up to him.

The Warriors maintain that they don't know when or if Kerr will return to the bench during the postseason.

Golden State leads the series 2-0.
