Cancer survivor Trent Frost signs a one day contract with the Golden State Warriors while his idol, fellow Aussie, Andrew Bogut, signs a souvenir basketball for Frost.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Trent Frost is living the dream.

A basketball fan from Melbourne, Australia, the 20 year-old is hanging with fellow Aussie and Golden State Warrior's star, Andrew Bogut.

"We met a year back in Melbourne and he said come out one day, and we'll look after you, so that was my wish, make-a-wish," said Frost.

Three years ago, Trent was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma and given just two weeks to live. A bone marrow transplant from his sister and playing basketball on his Xbox, kept him going.

On Thursday, thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, he'll attend his first NBA game.

"Can you promise him a winning game tonight?" asked Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson.

"Oh yeah, I promise," replied Frost.

Thompson and other Warriors took time Thursday morning to meet Frost and his family. He'll get to see how Golden State is indeed Golden so far this season for the players and the fans,

"I look at it as people coming 20 years, good or bad, win or lose, they still show up. Now they have a little more to cheer for, so it's exciting," said Warriors coach Steve Kerr.

The excitement for Frost, who signed a one day contract with the team, is that he'll get to shoot pre-game hoops with his idol.

"It's amazing. I'm at a loss for words," said Frost.

And how about being someone's number one wish?

"It's pretty humbling. But we'll make sure he gets enough gear, shakes enough players hands and talks about this the rest of his life," said Bogut.

Hopefully, it's a long one. Last month, Trent learned that he is in remission.
