Warriors prove they can beat Rockets without NBA MVP Steph Curry
OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- The Warriors proved Monday they can win in the playoffs without Steph Curry.
After the Warriors beat the Houston Rockets, coach Steve Kerr made no promises that Curry would take the court.

All eyes were locked on Steph Curry's feet as he warmed up before Game Two. Five minutes later he hit the locker room and returned to the bench in a suit while his teammates stormed the court. Fortunately for fans, the Warriors cruised to a 115 to 106 win over the Rockets.
Without the NBA MVP's 30-point contribution other players stepped up.
"He's carried us so many times, that if he goes down, you know it's our time to step up and carry him and a lot of guys did that tonight. It wasn't just one guy," said Draymond Green of the Warriors.

Green was a key part of the winning equation. He finished with a double-double. Andre Iguodala netted four threes off the bench and Klay Thompson led the team in points, tying his playoff record with 34.
After the game, Thompson had no problem ribbing his fellow Splash Brother.
"Oh, it's so much easier without him out there you know," Thompson said. "When Steph's on the floor, this man just sags in the paint. He doesn't move the ball. He's just you know a very selfish teammate. But, um, I'm just kidding, he's the exact opposite of that."
Heading into Houston with a 2-0 lead gives coach Steve Kerr the option to rest Curry again for Game 3. Kerr says Curry's health is the priority.
"We want to make sure Steph is right and his foot is healthy," Kerr said.
Curry will have three full days to rest and recover before any decision is made.
"It's a long playoff, let him rest. We really don't need him. The other guys can pick up the slack," said Warriors fan Boyton Jones.
Game 3 tips-off Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Game 4 is Sunday at 12:30 p.m. If necessary, Game 5 would be back at Oracle Arena Wednesday, April 27.
