Diversity on full display at 2017 Dreamforce conference in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Diversity comes in many forms, and this week, as the world's largest software conference takes over the streets of downtown San Francisco, Salesforce is using the opportunity to emphasize the importance of equality and inclusion in the world of tech.
More than 100 students from the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business at San Jose State University were invited to attend the annual Dreamforce conference free of charge. Salesforce even provided complimentary transportation to-and-from campus.
"We're all learning," says Elizabeth Isacsson, SJSU student. "We're all really excited to see what's innovative in the business world right now."

Salesforce officials say the number of women and underrepresented groups employed has kept pace with the company's rapid growth. Globally, women now hold nearly 20 percent of leadership roles at the company. Domestically, minorities make up more than one-third of Salesforce's employee base.
"It's really cool to see how Salesforce is reaching out to different age groups and minorities to see what they can do to help people like myself get their foot into the door," said Mohak Rastogi, SJSU student.
The company says there are more than 171,000 registered attendees for this year's Dreamforce. Officials expect at least 10 million people from around the world to tune in to Salesforce's live streams of the four-day long event.
