New iPhone bug pops up that will kill your iPhone
Several users have discovered that when you set the clock on an iPhone to a specific date, the phone crashes and won't restart.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A new iPhone bug has popped up that will make the device unusable.

Several users have discovered that when you set the clock to January 1, 1970, the phone crashes and won't restart.

You won't want to try this yourself, but Zach Straley tested it on an iPhone and posted the video on his Tech by Zach Straley's YouTube channel so you can see what happens.

The most likely explanation is it has to do with time zones. Setting the clock back that far causes the internal clock to be set to less than zero, which confuses the device and crashes it.

The bug only affects newer iPads and iPhones, such as the iPhone 5s and up.
