Highway 1 in Half Moon Bay reopens after injury crash

State Highway 1 in Half Moon Bay has reopened after a major injury crash blocked both directions of traffic Sunday afternoon, according to San Mateo County emergency officials.

An emergency alert was sent at 1:38 p.m. about a major injury accident on Highway 1 near Grandview Boulevard.

The highway was shut down to allow a medical helicopter to land, emergency officials said.

As of 2:14 p.m., the highway had reopened.
