FREMONT, Calif. (KGO) -- All lanes on northbound Interstate 880 in Fremont reopened after a cement mixer truck overturned Wednesday afternoon, spilling some cement onto the highway.

The crash between the truck and another vehicle was reported shortly after 12:06 p.m. on northbound I-880 near the on-ramp from Thornton Avenue.

Minor injuries were reported in the crash.

Some cement spilled from the truck onto the highway, so crews had to shut down three left lanes for several hours until a tow truck removed the cement truck at 3:30 p.m.

Traffic was backed up on northbound I-880 earlier this afternoon, but things are finally getting back to normal.

Caltrans crews have been working on cleaning up the mess.
