OAKLAND, Calif. -- A flight from San Jose to Hawaii turned around because of a mechanical problem this morning and landed safely in Oakland, airport officials said.
Hawaiian Airlines Flight 45 left Mineta San Jose International Airport at about 8:30 a.m. today and was on its way to Maui.
The plane had a non-emergency mechanical issue and was diverted to Oakland International Airport, where it landed at 10:22 a.m., according to officials at the Oakland and San Jose airports.
