SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KGO) -- A stowaway on a British Airways plane fell to his death on a flight from South Africa Friday. A second man survived the 11 hour flight.

The two men hitched a ride on the jet from Johannesburg to London. They traveled for 11 hours on an 8,000 mile flight. On the way down one of them fell. He allegedly plunged from the undercarriage.

Police found a body on the roof of a building they believe is that stowaway. They're waiting on tests to confirm.

In a statement, British Airways writes, "We are working with the metropolitan police and the authorities in Johannesburg to establish the facts surrounding this very rare situation."
