"It's going to be helpful. It's a blessing that we're getting it. It just makes it a bit tougher for everyone because the driving conditions are not as good as they normally would be," delivery truck driver Casey Gilroy said.

"The thing is I like it because I think the water prices will be low but not because raining and driving is not safe enough," driver Saul Campos said.

Drivers on Highway 101 going full speed early Monday morning got a surprise when they hit a spot of standing water. It didn't look like people were slowing down, almost like the slow drizzle fooled people into thinking it wasn't too bad out here.

The good news is they didn't have to face as much traffic as usual and the CHP said in Marin County, only one collision was reported Monday morning.

"I think with school being out, it's helping a little bit because traffic usually seems tougher condition-wise. But hey, everyone knows we need as much rain as we can get," Gilroy said.

With all the rain and the high tide, the Manzanita Park & Ride is flooded again and will be closed for this entire week.

"It's kinda crazy. We need improvement," San Rafael resident Chloe Nguyen said.

Drivers who have to get through it worry about what it does to their car and wonder why nothing is done about it.

"My car is pretty low. I don't know if it is going to go under the machine. I think we need help with this," Nguyen said.

A Caltrans spokesperson says ideas are expensive, like relocating the parking lot or raising it up on stilts. This is what we get for now but Caltrans and Marin County are working to fix this problem.
