Rain expected to fall in Bay Area through Saturday

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Umbrellas, windshield wipers and gushing storm drains -- all the sights and sounds of a rainy winter day in the Bay Area.

Earlier Thursday, there was quite a bit of downpour in the East Bay. It's not a drought-buster, but hopefully a sign of things to come.

It's the first real driving rain seen in the Bay Area, at least this week.
