Scorching heat causes fire fear, sizable power outage in Concord
At its peak, some 4,000 PG&E customers were without power in Concord. The outage forced some residents out of their air-conditioned homes to try and beat the heat.

CONCORD, Calif. (KGO) -- In the East Bay, inland cities could see triple-digit weather Saturday, as well as fire danger. There was a small fire in Martinez Friday evening and a power outage in Concord due to the heat.

At its peak, some 4,000 PG&E customers were without power in Concord. The outage forced some residents out of their air-conditioned homes to try and beat the heat.
