Cyber Monday was bigger than ever this year, with at least 125 million Americans going online to shop.

Cyber Monday was bigger than ever this year, with at least 125 million Americans going online to shop.

America's online shopping cart was full on Cyber Monday with the average order being over $135.

Adobe tracked more than 125 million visits to 4,500 retail websites including the top 100 in the country. "It was a record breaking Cyber Monday at $3 billion, it was up 12 percent versus last year which is almost $400 million versus last year," Adobe Digital Index Principle Analyst Tamara Gaffney said.

Target generated so much interest with its 15 percent off everything sale that its website slowed down to a crawl.

Shoppers discovered some of the most popular items like Star Wars toys were out of stock.

Walmart reported more people were shopping on their mobile phones and tablets than ever before, making up 70 percent of its online traffic.

As for the winners, social media crowned e-Bay, Amazon, Target, Walmart and the Gap as the champions of your online attention.
