Katy Perry announces online auditions for 'American Idol' are now open

American Idol doesn't return until next year, but auditions are open right now.

Judge Katy Perry made the special announcement on Good Morning America on Monday.

There are two ways to audition. You can submit a video on the show's site, or you can audition in person starting in August. Or you can do both.
