A Sonoma County sheriff's helicopter crew had to rescue 56-year-old Harold Ng after he became stuck on a side of a steep cliff.
Authorities say after diving Sunday, Ng was trying to make his way up a 300-foot cliff near Fort Ross when he apparently missed the trail.
A sheriff's helicopter was patrolling the coast when it spotted Ng as he struggled about 30 feet from the top of the cliff.
A crewmember was lowered from the helicopter on a rescue line and plucked Ng from the side of the cliff.
Ng didn't' require any medical care, but rescuers described him as "exhausted" from the ordeal.
