Eleven arrested during prostitution sting

PETALUMA, CA

The arrests Thursday were an attempt to discourage sexual solicitation in Petaluma hotels and motels, according to the Police Department.

The suspects, who were all were booked into Sonoma County Jail, were found through online advertisements and planned to meet in Petaluma, however none of them lived in the city.

Amy Cummings, 22, of Oakland; Laura Burnett, 20, of Benicia; Kathy Nevis, 45, of Novato; and Tiaka Ray, 22, of Marin, were charged with soliciting prostitution.

Damien Trammell, 29, of Marin; Robert Carter, 34, of Oakland; Steven Jensen, 57, of Santa Rosa; and David Brown, 29, of Santa Rosa, were charged with aiding another in the commission of prostitution.

Cherith Buck, 24, of Santa Rosa, was charged with soliciting prostitution and possessing narcotics without a prescription.

Andrew Hampton, 25, of Vallejo, was charged with aiding another in the commission of prostitution and a parole violation.

Soeub Say, 26, of Oakland, was charged with prostitution and possession of methamphetamine.
