Cleaning up summer damage
There are three ways that skin looks older as we age:
>> Wrinkles and lines
>> Changes in volume
>> Changes in color, especially age spots
You can develop age spots regardless of your ethnic skin type; they may be more visible in lighter skinned people
Treatment of age spots can involve topical bleach creams for discolorations, and laser treatment for the individual flatter spots. Lasers can remove the flat spots without disturbing the normal skin color around and underneath the spot.
Sunscreens should block UVA which can go through glass and windshields and produces brown spots. The best sunscreens contain either "Helioplex" or "Mexoryl" which are stable and long-lasting in sunlight.
