New Mexico soccer player Elizabeth Lambert has been suspended indefinitely after a series of plays that can best be described as ranging from rough to mind-boggling.

New Mexico played BYU in the Western Athletic Conference Semifinals. Lambert punched one player in the back, there were overly aggressive and excessive tackles.

The worst action was pulling a girl down by her ponytail.

Officials in the Lobos Athletic Department called her actions completely inappropriate.

Lambert issued an apology on Friday saying: "I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation."
