Michael Vawter, 40, was charged with one count of possession of child pornography after police found 187 pornographic videos on his computer, which he appears to have downloaded from the Internet, Yamaguchi said.
San Ramon police arrested Vawter in March after receiving an anonymous tip that he had the images on his computer at work, according to San Ramon police.
Police obtained a search warrant for his work computer at a business in San Ramon and for his home in Danville, police said shortly after his arrest.
