Ike's sandwich shop had become a victim of its own success. So many people were lining up for lunch that neighbors complained about all the people, the noise and the smell from the kitchen.
The new Ike's is just around the corner on Market Street where it is sharing a space with the Lime nightclub that is closed at lunch.
Orders will be taken over the phone, at least for now, to avoid the long lines.
