Melody Borg, 25, a passenger in a Ford Contour, grabbed the wheel of the vehicle for an unknown reason, which might have caused the car to veer off the side of the road around 2:15 p.m., CHP Officer Jonathan Sloat said.
Her husband, Tyler Borg, 28, was driving the car on southbound Stony Point Road south of the Rohnert Park Expressway at the time of the accident, Sloat said.
According to witness reports, the car overturned at least three times. The couple was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and their injuries do not appear to be life threatening, Sloat said.
