Elections
Hosted by ABC7's Cheryl Jennings
This week's episode of "Beyond the Headlines" discusses the upcoming 2012 Presidential Election and specific statewide Propositions. We talk about Proposition 30, Governor Jerry Brown's tax increase plan; Proposition 36, the Three Strikes Law; and Proposition 37, mandatory labeling for genetically engineered foods.
We hear from both sides of each of these Propositions to gain more knowledge of what voters will encounter when they cast their vote in November. We also talk about how to register to vote and its importance.
Today's guests include experts on the various propositions who provide general information on each of them. We also hear from the President of the San Francisco League of Women Voters who discusses voter registration.
