Our media partner, the Contra Costa Times, reports that the council will consider on Tuesday offering a retirement formula of three percent at age 50. That would allow public safety officers to retire at age 50 at three percent of their final year of pay multiplied by years of service.
Right now the formula is three percent at 55.
