Kamala Harris officially kicks off Senate campaign

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- State Attorney General Kamala Harris will officially kick off her U.S. Senate campaign Wednesday night in San Francisco.

Harris originally announced her bid in January just days after Barbara Boxer said she would not run for re-election in 2016.

Wednesday's event will be held at the Delancey Street Foundation in San Francisco.

The guest list includes San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, District Attorney George Gascon and Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf.
