SAN DIEGO -- A 6-week-old one-horned rhino and an 8-month-old ankole, which is an African cow, are becoming buddies at the San Diego Zoo.

The male rhino calf named Chutti is being raised by veterinarians after they realized he wasn't gaining weight as he should with his mother.

To help him get daily exercise and have companionship, zoo officials introduced him to the female ankole named Moo Moo Kitty three days ago. Zoo officials say the two are getting to know each other and vets hope they will become longtime companions.
