Man catches, saves giant 12-pound lobster

A fisherman checking out a reef in the Channel Islands overnight earlier this month found a massive 12-pound lobster.

He decided not to eat it because it was so unique.

Marine biologists said the lobster is 70-years-old, extremely protective of other smaller lobsters and very fertile

The lobster has been moved to a marine sanctuary in the Channel Islands where he'll be able to make new generations of lobsters for another quarter century.
