Disneyland revamps 'World of Color' for 60th anniversary

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Disneyland is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a spectacular new "World of Color" fountain show that begins Friday.

Neil Patrick Harris joins Mickey Mouse to take guests through 60 years of Disney history.

"When the phone rings and Mickey's asking you if you'll be part of the show with him, you've got to say yes," Harris said.

From "Steamboat Willie" all the way to "Star Wars," Disney's past, present and future is celebrated.

"The show is a nice way to recap not only your day, but also reminds you of who started it -- of Walt's story, of Mickey's story," Harris said.

The creative development took nearly two years and uses 1,200 dancing fountains to create a 380-foot-wide mist screen of water. That screen is paired with 30 million pixels of digital projection and classic Disney music.

On if he would consider starring in another fountain show, Harris gives a resounding yes.

"On a mist screen, every wrinkle is unintelligible, so yes, I hope to do more mist work in the future," Harris said.
