SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- U2 singer Bono is now explaining why he wears sunglasses all the time. The band's frontman is now admitting that he has suffered from glaucoma for 20 years.

The condition is caused by a buildup of pressure that can damage the optic nerve and can make the eyes sensitive to light.

The singer, whose real name is Paul Hewson, is now 54. He says he is getting good care and he's going to be fine.
