Spectators out to watch Antares rocket launch capture explosion on video

Multiple people had their cameras rolling when the unmanned Antares rocket exploded seconds after launch.

Hundreds of people turned out to watch the launch of an unmanned commercial supply ship to the International Space Station Tuesday evening and it appears at least several of those people had their cameras out as the Antares rocket exploded seconds after liftoff.

A Cessna pilot even captured the event from 3,000 feet in the air.

NASA was also live streaming the launch when the explosion occurred.

No one was injured when the rocket blew up. Damage appears limited to the Wallops Island launch complex facilities, according to the Associated Press.
